The Renter's Rights Bill officially became law on 27 October 2025, introducing significant reforms for landlords, tenants, and letting agents.Â
The Government has now produced a timetable for implementation of the Renters’ Rights Act provisions. Some of the provisions are expected to come into force for the Private Rented Sector on 1st May 2026.
The Government have issued draft legislation setting out what written information landlords will need to give their tenants in the future.
The Letting Centre have updated their guidance which can be accessed here:Â https://www.letlink.co.uk/renters-rights-act-2025/.
Although the Government have published this information, the Government state in their guidance document that ‘This information list is a draft and may change..…We will publish the final version in March 2026.’
As a result of this, The Letting Centre can prepare a draft agreement, but are unable to publish the periodic assured tenancy agreement for use, until the final version of the information list is published and the document has been through their legal checking process.
