Brochures, particulars and schedules – 3 names for the same thing.

Expert Agent uses Microsoft Word to do these so, in simple terms, you just need to do all the design and layout work at your end, build the perfect finished brochure for a fake property then convert it into a template for use every time you take on a new instruction.

We recommend using some of your 5 hours of one-to-one time with our product specialists to review your progress on your brochures, once you've had a go at it. Setting up a new brochure can be a very time consuming job and most agents are perfectionists when it comes to brochures – they project and protect your brand so they need to be right.

We recommend that you nominate the best Microsoft Word user in your business and give them a couple of days off other duties to set up and create some masterpieces.

Once your Word Guru has done the training, they have a go at putting together a brochure. If required, they can make contact with the account management team and request a one-to-one and we’ll help with any snags. This ensures your business develops the skills to sort your own brochures out ongoing.

Whilst we’re happy to help, we won’t set these up for you. Experience has proven that we can’t get them right without sitting at your PC, using your wordprocessor, your printer and sometimes your paper.

We supply lots of sample templates and it is easy to convert existing Word brochures to merge automatically with Expert Agent – normally just a case of replacing text with codes such as [property_price]

Although this article has only mentioned Microsoft Word so far, in fact, we’ve got 3 ways of doing brochures.  There are 2 reasons for this - new methods have appeared over the years and we need to cater for a variety of requirements from design to hardware.

However, unless you have a very compelling reason not to, we suggest you focus on WordLink – our method of creating brochures via Microsoft Word.

Letters

We provide a number of MS Word based standard letters already preconfigured in Expert Agent. You can use and modify these to suit your needs and requirements.

If you’re moving from another product, you need to get all of this set up perfectly before you let your staff loose on Expert Agent – if the things they’ve been used to in the previous software don’t work out of the box by the time you make them move to Expert Agent, you’ll have a riot on your hands. Someone in your organisation needs to do our Standard Letters using Word training course. As with brochures, you can use up some of your one-to-one appointment time getting us to do a review once you've had a go at configuring your letters, if you would find it helpful.
