Reserving a Tenancy

It is good practice to "reserve" the tenancy for the applicant whilst you take references.

1.   Right click, hover over 'Change Status' and click 'Reserve Tenancy.' The following window opens:

2.   Ensure you are happy with the options that are ticked here.  Most agents continue marketing properties until a property is “Let” and so leave the second box un-ticked, however for peace of mind for the applicant they often market the property as “Under Negotiation”, so tick the first option. If you no longer want your applicant to come up in match results you need to tick ‘mark applicants as inactive’ – this is going to depend on how likely you think it is that this applicant will be accepted for this tenancy.
