If a new Expert Agent member joins us from another estate agency software product, they often want to bring their data with them.
We've got two full time data migration specialists, Tom and Christopher, managed by Dave Kayira one of our Partners. Over the years, they’ve developed routines to extract and migrate data from most of the well-known estate agent software.
We do our best to minimise the work you’ll need to do with the proviso that we have a finite amount of time to spend on a migration.Â

We offer our migrations at less than cost price as a service, to encourage new customers to come on board. The standard charge a minimum of £500, plus £50 per additional office IF we’ve migrated from the product in question before. In these circumstances, data migration takes 3-4 working days and you’ll need at least a day of your time to clean up the finished data – particularly the current On Market properties. If we haven’t migrated from the product in question before, the price is £1000 plus £100 per office and the job takes 7-10 days.

We provide you with a Migration Checklist showing what can and can't be migrated from your current provider. Â If we haven't migrated from the provider in question before, we'll capture some test data and produce a new Migration Checklist. If you're happy with the Checklist, we book a slot for your migration, and send you a bill.
You may need to order data extracts from your current provider, we'll let you know if this applied. Your current provider may charge for these. Â

The usual process is outlined below, but we'll send you a schedule tailored to your own migration so you know exactly what's happening when.Â
On the first day of your migration, we get your data - either sent by your current provider, or by remoting into one of your PC's. Â
Once the data has been collected, nothing new added to your old system will be migrated into Expert Agent, so:

We aim to have the migrated date in place within 48 hours of collection, but the process is often much quicker than this. Â

As soon as the data arrived in Expert Agent, you'll need to spend time checking/cleaning the data as per the instructions below. One of our implementation experts will call you to talk you through the process, and will be available to answer any queries. Â
Your migration technician will be on hand to fix any snags you might spot with the migrated data, where possible. Â
The implementation expert will go through a property record making sure everything's in the right place as well as making sure all the key bits are completed in order for it to appear correctly when marketed. Â
Take a look at a couple of applicant records, check things look in order and report back to the migration team if there is anything amiss. Â

We deem your account to be live once you are feeding data to the outside world. This will be through your website and/or portal feeds.Â
If we're doing you a new website, you just need to sign our form and we'll put it live, please contact your designer on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
If others are updating or creating you a site, you'll need to tell them to put the site live when you are ready. If you have any concerns over this please contact our support team via the ticket system.
It's best not to instruct the portals until you have all of your 'on market' properties set up and live. When you are ready, contact the portals themselves and ask them to set up the feed at their end. Expert Agent then sends a confirmation request to your by email. Â
You have to confirm the request by clicking a link, as soon as you do that, the portal will get your data. Â
Please bear in mind that this won't be instant - it's best to allow a couple of days for the switchover to be arranged at the portal's end.Â
