The Renter's Rights Bill officially became law on 27 October 2025, introducing significant reforms for landlords, tenants, and letting agents.Â
The Government has now produced a timetable for implementation of the Renters’ Rights Act provisions. Some of the provisions are expected to come into force for the Private Rented Sector on 1st May 2026 and The Letting Centre have set out information in advance to help you prepare for the changes.
Guidance from The Letting Centre can be accessed here:Â https://www.letlink.co.uk/renters-rights-act-2025/.
Under the Renters’ Rights Act, landlords and letting agents must provide the official Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet 2026 to all relevant tenants.
This must be issued to each tenant named on the tenancy agreement by 31st May 2026, either as a PDF attachment or printed copy.
For full guidance, see our main article here: Sending Out The Government Information Sheet

We fully recommend keeping an eye on the above Letting Centre page for advice on which tenancy agreement to use and when, along with updated time schedules as to when they are aiming to have updated letters available for you.
As always, please keep an eye on your alerts within Expert Agent for updates on new letters going live!
